I work as an associate architect at Moke. In my role, I am involved from the acquisition phase through to the aesthetic supervision during construction. I conduct feasibility studies and develop building concepts, which I subsequently translate into floor plans and façade designs. I also take on the role of team leader, overseeing the day-to-day operations at the office and holding specific responsibility for scheduling and planning.
I would like to highlight two projects here: Hamerkwartier A2 and Hembrug Block 1. What makes these projects remarkable is that both are situated in industrial areas currently being transformed into residential neighbourhoods. That transformation is a great source of inspiration for me. It calls for a delicate balance between the robustness of industry and the softness demanded by a living environment. Moreover, I feel a strong personal connection to both locations.
Architecture that enables people to use their living environment in their own way moves me the most.
Rada obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Delft University of Technology. This year marks her fifth work anniversary at Moke Architecten.
