I work at Moke as a technical designer. In my role as a BIM modeller and project lead, I spend much of my time drafting and detailing in Revit. I ensure that designs are both technically accurate and of high quality, without compromising the architectural vision. In addition, I coordinate the BIM process across various disciplines and safeguard the quality of all technical documentation. I support my colleagues with technical expertise and ensure that our detailing complies with building regulations and industry standards. In my communication with project teams, management, and clients, I translate technical aspects into clear and accessible information, which is essential to the success of our projects.
A project that is particularly special to me is Magnus in Lent, Nijmegen. I’ve been involved from day one: I set up the entire model and carried out the technical detailing, including the prefabricated façade systems with brick slips.
The most rewarding aspect of my work is developing complex details that are both technically sound and aesthetically strong.
Tom studied at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and completed an exchange semester in Architectural Technology at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. He then pursued a Master’s degree in Architecture, Building and Planning at Eindhoven University of Technology. He gained eight years of experience at various architectural firms before joining Moke Architecten.
